The World Wide Leader is reporting Darelle Revis is holding out. As he should. There is no reason he should not be the highest paid corner in the league. The way these teams are paying unproven rookies these days is getting out of hand. Revis proved himself last year and deserves a raise over his rookie deal. Even his coach called him the best defensive player in the NFL. If the Jets were smart they would give him his money now, since there likely wont be pro football next year.

The Penguins have passed along the news, that the PA announcer that made the Mellon home, John Barbero has passed away. Will always remember "number 66, Mario Lemieuuuuuuuuuuuuuxxxxxxxxxxxxx. What a voice.

Looks like Terrell Owens is going to end up in the AFC North after all. The Steelers are making a huge mistake not signing him. This is the 2010 NFL, not 1988, times have changed. The Steelers have shown they are no better p.r.-wise than any other team in the league. Owens will be no bigger locker room issue than Hines Ward and all his bitching the past couple of seasons. Steelers secondary has been upgraded, but having to pick your poison 2 times the year of Chad Ochocinco or Terell Owens may end up being a disaster. I would see no problems in T.O for 6 from #7 12 games this year, but the brass apparently see differently.

Lincoln Demoted

Pirates starting pitcher was demoted to (AAA) Indianapolis after his loss to San Diego earlier today. This is a good move for Lincoln who was on a roll before his callup earlier this season. Let him go down and get his work to build his confidence for a September callup. I think Brad has good potential and will show his worth as the clubs 2006 1st round selection. This move probably means a Charlie Morton sighting for next weekend, could his ERA go higher?

This is my first shot at blogging. Among the topics I'll discuss is the Pittsburgh sports scene. I'm a diehard sports fan and chose the name Aki's Knee as a tribute to the trainwreck of an offseason pickup by the Pirates that is Aki Iwamura.
